Quadruple Board Certified · Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine · Northridge & Encino
Dr. Kasra Sedarati is a pulmonary and critical care physician at PulmoCrit Associates with a broad clinical practice spanning the full spectrum of pulmonary medicine. He provides comprehensive evaluation and management for patients with asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary nodules, and a wide range of complex lung and respiratory conditions. Dr. Sedarati is also a high-volume advanced bronchoscopist — his procedural training and case volume in robotic bronchoscopy and EBUS allow for precise, minimally invasive evaluation of pulmonary nodules and mediastinal disease that many community practices are not equipped to offer. He completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Sedarati completed his internal medicine residency at Mercer University School of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident. He went on to complete his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he served as Chief Fellow and received rigorous training in both the medical management of complex pulmonary disease and advanced bronchoscopic procedures.
Dr. Sedarati holds quadruple board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine: Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Neurocritical Care Medicine.
Dr. Sedarati manages the full range of pulmonary conditions in outpatient, inpatient, and procedural settings. His clinical focus includes advanced asthma — including patients whose symptoms remain inadequately controlled and who may benefit from specialist re-evaluation or biologic therapies — as well as COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary nodule evaluation and surveillance, and chronic cough. He is experienced in caring for medically complex patients and works closely with the PulmoCrit team to provide coordinated, longitudinal pulmonary care.
Dr. Sedarati performs a high volume of advanced bronchoscopic procedures. His capabilities include Ion robotic bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), navigational bronchoscopy, lymph node sampling, cryobiopsy, transbronchial biopsy, bronchoalveolar lavage, and Bronchoscopic Lung Volume Reduction (BLVR) with the Zephyr® Endobronchial Valve System — making PulmoCrit the only practice in the San Fernando Valley offering this FDA-approved treatment for severe emphysema.
